Hi, my name is Cheryl Wimperis, and I'm a former professional ballerina and now yoga instructor for 15 years in Leicester, United Kingdom and work as a lifestyle coach.
I've created an online yoga course that you can follow along to at any time.
The difference between me and all these big businesses that offer online yoga subscription services is that my courses are much more focused on your wellbeing and mental health, as well as your physical health. Due to feedback from my regular yoga class students, I provide the same intensity online as I do in person.

Breath is life, and Prana, flowing through our breath, is our life force. Yoga practice provides simple and practical tools that allow us to become more aware of our breath. This helps us become more centred and in control, which is useful if you have anxiety or stress.
This helps us better deal with stress, so that there is less tension and discomfort within the body. There are many breathwork exercises (pranayama). They all have different functions and purposes. Yoga benefits range widely.
Even so, pranayama teaches us how to use the lungs to their maximum capacity and exercises the heart and respiratory system. It also keeps us full of vitality and improved mental health.

Learning to relax and unwind properly is another powerful tool in our yoga practice. Our modern lifestyles have caused us to find quick-fix ways of relaxing, such as drinking alcohol, using recreational drugs, not sleeping, and being busy to avoid stillness. Being busy doesn't allow our bodies and minds to rest appropriately.
Stress is caused when our nervous system activates our "fight or flight" mode when we are not actively resting adequately. Chronic stress and fatigue can develop, leading to different diseases in the body and mind. Deep and intentional relaxation is what we learn through our yoga practice. This is called restorative rest.
My yoga students always leave my classes feeling energised, but equally rested. Self-awareness and meditation enable us to live with more clarity, peace, trust and understanding about who we are. Everything starts with our thoughts!
When we deeply understand our body, we then deeply understand our mind, leading to understanding our lives. Meditation is a powerful and straightforward tool that improves concentration, emotional awareness, balance, focus, and calm and spiritual awareness. Meditation helps us calm the mind, chatter, step back, gain perspective on life, and enjoy the true meaning.

We recently requested flows for endometritis, short breathwork flow for anxiety, and 30 mins flow for strength, flexibility and connection.
Ballet and Yoga are similar in that they move our energy from our heads into our bodies and hearts. This process helps us centre ourselves and become more present, making us feel calmer and at ease.
Ballet barre is an excellent exercise and develops strength in the legs, core, and back. It improves stability in the ankles and feet, and, of course, improves posture and alignment.
Each month, there will be a 20-minute barre that improves:

New mediations will be added each month, depending on the needs and contributions of the Community Support group. There are various mediations ready to choose from. Some of these include:

A community on Facebook provides a space where you can ask questions about your practice and connect with like-minded people. This is a space to feel safe and where you can be heard. In this group, we will also discuss monthly lows to ensure you are getting your needs met with yoga online courses.
